CT-100 conning tower ladders are manufactured according to NAVSEA drawing 603-5857927, and they are commonly used to reach the diving plane of a submarine safely through the armored conning tower. As a standard, it has a width of 17-1’4″ and its rungs are machined out of aluminum or stainless steel.
